Album Drop | Kaytranada - "99.9 %"

Haitian-born Montrealer Kaytranada released his long-awaited, much-anticipated debut album 99.9% today, and it's perfect timing, really, since we need something amazing to stream all weekend long. His weaving of hip hop, soul, R&B and pop is addictive, and guest vocalists like Vic Mensa, Craig David and Anderson .Paak are gravy.

The 23-year-old producer and longtime SoundCloud warrior, who still lives at home in his parents' basement where he shares a room with his brother, has come a long way since the his remix of Janet Jackson's "If" went viral back in 2012. He signed to XL Recordings in 2014, his debut is out today, and just yesterday he kicked off a European/Canadian/US tour to promote it.

Vancouver,  July 3rd for Fvded in the Park

Montreal, July 29th for the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival.
