Album review: Odonis Odonis - Post Plague

The year is 2016 and everything has gone quite well for Patrick Bateman; two kids with his lovely wife, Jean, he's made partner, and best of all he's not in prison. Long gone is Huey Lewis, most of The News are long since broke, and streaming services have dissolved the need to return video tapes. Calm. Calm. Everything zen. Everything...stale. Maybe try a new band? What's this Odonis Odonis? Oh, oh a great sound for a workout. Gotta keep fit after all. But what is this fire raising inside? Not a new row of abs, no. It's a need to put on a clear raincoat, grab an axe and hit Tunnel once more. Yes! This is all sex and chaos and man versus machine and love and death and Post Plague. This is a throwback to a time of excess and beautiful broiling darkness that builds and builds until nothing matters but the sweet tumultuous release of whatever I see fit. Time for a new business card.
