Dinosaur Jr. Premiere "Tiny" Video

In advance of the August 5th release of Dinosaur Jr’s latest album, Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not (Jagjaguar) the band has released a video for the lead single “Tiny”.  The clip takes place within the dream of lead singer/shredder J Mascis’s bulldog.  This is evidenced in the opening scene. We see the dog asleep, there’s added ADR snoring and then a delightful classic sitcom style dream fade transitions us into the next scene. It’s all so wonderfully 90s that it wouldn’t feel out of place sandwiched between “So Whatcha Want” and “Buddy Holly” on an episode of The Wedge. We follow the band/dog around to a roller derby match and then afterwards to skate some bowls. Yes, this video also prominently features a skateboarding dog. If that wasn’t enough it confirms that the life of J Mascis has not changed since the band started in the late 80s. He’s here wearing the same baggy hoody and baseball cap, barely able to muster up the effort to properly lip sync along with the track. Like an indie rock Santa Claus and his elves, Dinosaur Jr. are back to give us more great songs, 90s charm and a very cool skateboarding dog. Suck on that Poochie.
