Uh-Oh, There's An Emoji Full-Length Feature

The Emoji Movie, a highly anticipated (by nobody) 3D adventure, will be released in August 2017 via Sony Pictures Animation/Columbia Pictures. The teaser trailer, released today, fittingly stars a “Meh” emoji (voiced by Steven Wright) because not even Sony gives a shit that this movie is being made.

Other cast members include Ilana Glazer (Broad City), James Corden (Carpool Karaoke), and T.J. Miller, who’s most notable achievement is punching an Uber driver. Hopefully the inclusion of the “Poop” emoji will push the box office gross high enough to cover his $20,000 bail. Another saving grace may be the “Eggplant” emoji, but only if it explores the world of Tinder.
