Dr. Martens makes the perfect footwear. Each pair of docs match with whatever your wearing, especially the Talib Venice boots because they are so crisp like a piece of fresh lettuce (if lettuce was white and could be worn on your feet). They have the same doc construction and this boot has eight eyes. Not actual eyes obviously. They’re the holes that the laces go through. Imagine if boots had real eyes? Weird and gross.

New York’s The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart have their new album, The Echo Of Pleasure, coming out on September 1st and today in advance of that have dropped that record’s second, hyper-colored single “When I Dance With You”. The infectious 80’s-inspired song was written by Pains frontman Kip Berman for his wife, Cecily.

Post rock will never and should never die. Not only is it pretty much going to be the sound of the planet after she is devoid of all human life, but in present day, it is the soundtrack to everything cinematic. Editors notoriously cut to the paces of Explosions in the Sky before they add in whatever off-brand versions of that band they have licensed for the film or programme.

Let’s talk clogs. Let’s really explore them. Let’s understand why they’re made of wood. Jokes! There’s no point in exploring clogs but wearing them in boot form is a completely different story. Wear this pair of Swedish Hasbeens everywhere. Wear them with jeans. Wear them with leggings. Wear them with a mini skirt. Maybe avoid the clog + maxi skirt look. That’s not great. It’s not horrible but it’s not that appealing, you know?

Did you know that the dude who started Ted Baker isn’t even named Ted Baker? His name is Ray Stuart Kelvin. There are people in this world who are named Ted Baker but the guy who founded Ted Baker isn’t one of them. Weird, right? Maybe he knew a guy named Ted Baker and was like, “I shall name my fashion empire after him”.

God bless The Sylvia Platters for even existing. It’s been nearly a decade since a rock album from a new band has come out that anyone beyond a fringe group of 38-year-old music dorks has cared about. I’m no accountant but putting this album out has to have been a financially inadvisable decision.
