OK GO | Upside Down And Inside Out [live chat]

OK GO's latest video for "Upside Down And Inside Out" was released last week, and if you would like to talk to the band about how the video was created, you can. The band will be doing a live Facebook Chat today, February 16th, at 1pm PST and a Reddit AMA tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17th at the same time to talk about the groundbreaking video.

SONG OF THE DAY | Wolkoff "The Homecoming" single

Insightful ION scribe, Joanie Wolkoff, isn't just a top tier writer of words, but also a magnificent songsmith, whose new record, Without Shame, was just announced this week. Leading the record cycle is "The Homecoming", a solid representation of where her and current producing partner, Icarus Moth, have decided to plant their flag. The duo have together crafted a trademark sound, which is near impossible with the cultural limitations of 2016.

Video of the Day | Jody Glenham & the Dreamers - RSVP

So "they" say your music videos need to be three minutes or shorter. "They" say the treatment has to be a take on the tired "OMG THESE KIDS ARE HAVING FUN IN AMERICA AND FIREWORKS ARE HAPPENING AND HERE'S A PRODUCT PLACEMENT" concept. "They" mostly have shit for brains and are the kinds of people who green light movies about EDM culture and use music from 9 years ago to sell it.

Andy Ferro: Single For "Crystal Tongue"

Lead guitarist from Ranch Ghost, Andy Ferro is releasing his debut solo record on cassette late this month, and the Nashville/London-raised songsmith has some leaked singles popping up in the usual corners of the internet, including here at ION! The compressed, minimal sounds of "Crystal Tongue" are what one would hope TV commercials advertising whimsical ways to use one's air travel points would use for music syncs, but it doesn't have enough sanguine "HEYYY OOOH HEYYY" vocals, or timpani... or glockenspiel.

VIDEO OF THE DAY | PUP-DVP

Royal Mountain Records' crown jewel, Toronto band PUP, released a video today that is sure to play well with Generation X'ers who miss guzzling root beers and bags of Ruffles salt & vinegar (RIP, greatest chip ever made) on Saturday afternoons and getting an NES and/or Genesis controller all greasy; mostly because all Gen X'ers seem to do is sit around yakking about old cartoons, video games, and chocolate bars you can't buy anymore (which is exactly what I'm doing here, yes, I get that).

VIDEO OF THE DAY : Leon Bridges | River [Video]

2015 ION cover boy, Leon Bridges, is America's fastest rising music star, and for good reason. He seems to drip with authenticity and earnest devotion to soul music. Even the recordings have a certain talent for sounding exactly like the era he is aping (unlike the Steve Lillywhite-y, contemporary filter that the late Ms. Winehouse always had on her recordings).

Lila Rose | All The Beauty [audio]

Lila Rose claims to have an "ultrasound sensitivity", which is kind of like those "super tasters", who can't drink any booze except for mead (ed note: gross), and make those retching histrionics any time they accidentally eat cilantro, except it's with your ears and not your tongue. Apparently it's like a simultaneous curse and gift, but unlike those taste bud super humans, the rest of us get songs like this from Toronto-born, but California citizen, Lila Rose.
