ENTER THE DRAGON
To celebrate the Chinese Year of the Dragon, LACOSTE footwear has been working with the New Project Centre (NPC) in Shanghai and Beijing, to create an exclusive collection that is as contemporary as it is steeped in eastern tradition. The popular Broadwick trainer has been reworked with dragon imagery and comes in red, gold, and silver. There are just 500 pairs of each colour available in stores worldwide in October, and one of our lucky readers will have a chance to win a pair. All you need to do is tell us why they should be yours in the comment section below. Good luck.

I used to buy lots of metallic sneakers a few years ago back when I was in university (when my parents were paying my rent).
Well I'm outta uni now, and have been working(struggling) as a freelance photographer. I haven't been able to buy myself a new pair of kicks since I started I'm supporting myself. Winning a pair of these shiny sneakers would be a delight!

... so that when people are hanging their heads in sorrow, and looking at the ground, I could stand in front of them, and they would see these beautiful reflective things and be happy.

My feet deserve to be decked out. They are sad with boring white runners.

I've just started a bright, shiny, new job this month, and quite honestly, my feet need to reflect that. I want my footwear to be just as bright, shiny, and new! Gold, silver and red are the snappiest colours I could possibly imagine accompanying me as I tromp down the sidewalk on my commute this autumn. I can see it now.... people are gonna look at me and think... "wow, metallic, eh? Where is SHE going? I wanna go, too!" ;)

I was reading today about how all clothing has a sense of history to it. Clothing is so powerful that it is the ultimate first impression. It gives an stronger insight into a person quicker than words ever will. I'm glad that Lacoste, an iconic brand with it's own history, is teaming up with the New Project Centre in China, because it shows they understand all clothing tells a story. That's what I'm always hoping for with my clothing too.

It was Friday night, a date with my wife after so many days waiting for it, organizing babysitting, planning around work, school, and volunteer projects. Early evening, we enjoyed an interesting sex education course, and then we were looking for something to do for the rest of the night. I remembered that an art festival was going on that weekend. Since we do not have smart phones to check the festival schedule online, we ended up checking different coffee houses around East Vancouver hoping to find a hard copy of the festival brochure with the schedule on it. After four stops at different coffee shops, we got frustrated and even had a small fight in the way back home due to a lack of planning on what to do in our special night. During my last stop at one of the coffee shop, I saw a pile of Ion Magazines, the cover shoot and the size of the magazine caught my eye. So, I grab one and took it home. When we got home, my wife went to sleep not too happy after our discussion and I decided to read the magazine. I enjoyed the use of photography in most of its pages, and then wooaaalaaa! I saw the page with the Gold Lacoste Trainers with the words: “Win Me!” and I say to myself, wouldn't be great to win these shoes, they look unique. Then, I found out that only 500 pairs will be available worldwide, oh yes, that’s what I called unique. I also thought, after all the fight, wouldn’t be nice to remember this night instead as the night I won a pair of suppa cool shoes. Also a great way to remind me that an unfortunate day can be transformed in an awesome day!, of course, a pair of red shoes helps big time. Well that my story. I look forward to wear my Red Lacoste Trainers during my next romantic date.
