Hidden away silent amongst the cobwebs in the estate of the late Conny Plank, sat an unreleased recording waiting to be discovered. Amalgamated together in one session were the geniuses of Plank—a krautrock producer—and jazz legend Duke Ellington. There had been whisperings of the union between the two circulating since 1970, left unfounded until now.

When you're as prolific as Peter Ricq, globetrotting with Humans, and your side project, Gang Signs, sometimes something has to give, and in this case, it's his side-SIDE project, Ladyfrnd, who, with Friday's release of the appropriately named "Farewell EP" have decided to pull the pin. Mixed by Vancouver's plucky producer du jour, Jason Corbett, the Farewell EP doesn't do much to twist the overall sound of the act before it exeunts, but it does build upon an enjoyable oeuvre before the final bow.

Abandoned Love is a participatory photo series by 20-year-old photographer and digital artist Peyton Fulford, in which she had people from all over the world (Australia, Italy, UK, USA) on Tumblr send her their private thoughts, diary entries, and text messages to which she then created into banners and placed on abandoned buildings.

With less than a month to go before Netflix offers up perhaps the most anticipated of its original programming, a prequel series of David Wain's cult feature Wet Hot American Summer, we the population of the internet were treated to a full trailer for the series, and were not disappointed. All your favourite cast members are back (including an eventual breakout star, Bradley Cooper) plus heavy hitting additions like Jordan Peele and the cheekily "introduced" Jon Hamm.

Darby’s Girls: The Iconic Women in Punk Who Befriended and Followed Darby Crash
Darby Crash planned his short life and even—especially—his death to be the stuff of punk legend. Maybe the saddest fact surrounding his death wasn’t that it was by suicide, or that he was only 22. Maybe it’s that the goal he set for himself in dying an unforgettable death turned out to be a futile attempt. It didn’t make him the legend he set out to be: destiny was nasty to Darby Crash that way.
