New BRONCHO Video Looks Like They Sound

Nerves were at attention before the mixes came back for BRONCHO's follow-up to Just Enough Hip to Be Woman, as they should have been. That record was a chest-filling relief for anyone who was legit concerned about guitar music never making a relevant mark again. It was the kind of album that if released during the main attraction days of guitar-based hysteria, it would have gone double platinum.

The Local With TO-Based Fashion Designer Matthew Gallagher

Born and raised in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Gallagher moved to Milan at 21 and enrolled in design school at Istituto Marangoni. He completed his studies in Design in 2012 and went on to work as a costume designer for Ubisoft. After his schooling in Italy and other industry experiences, he debuted his eponymous women’s wear luxury brand in March, 2013. More recently Gallagher competed in the Toronto Fashion Incubator’s TFI New Labels competition, winning the grand prize for most promising new label.

Cass McCombs' New Single

Cass McCombs, who can be described in a reductive fashion as "Sufjan for the heroin crowd," has been lurking around our record players and iTunes since the early part of the century. There's nothing gimmicky about McCombs, unlike many of his contemporaries who seem to be grasping at an attempt at burning out vs. fading away. "He's just... good," an otherwise articulate music writer once said to me, and perhaps that's all there is to say about him.

The Gaze | Get Born Art Show

An art magazine for skateboarders, Get Born strives to document and recognize small instances of genuine passion and innovation that remain in the skateboarding industry. The "Get Born Art Show", will provide a hot spot for the work of eight exceptional artists hot on the underground skateboarding scene in Chicago.

Artful Vision | Malcolm Pinnell

There's something quite fascinating about a chain of events. Tattoo was not always part of Malcolm Pinnell's life. In fact, he's only about two years into his career, and strives to dig deeper into the non-commercial side of the craft. The Montreal-based artist sees his work like more than just a transaction: "[I like] this idea of [living off tattooing] as a background thing. Feeling in someone's work that it's way more than just a job or this commercial thing, that it's [a part of the artist]." Safe to say he's come a long way since his appreciation for another fellow student's small snowflake tattoo, a few years ago.

Warpaint Announce New Record, Release Aptly Titled New Song, "New Song"

Fans of knowing just a little bit more about music than your average mouth breather are pleased today with the release of Warpaint's new lead single. Possibly because titling songs "Untitled" is too 90s even for today's constant 1990s fetishism, the track is tagged as "New Song" with a refrain hook echoing the title.

Barbra Streisand and Hugh Jackman Release "Any Moment Now"

“Any Moment Now” is a soaring easter egg of a tune and it’s in good hands with Wolverine and Barbra. It’s classic Streisand, featuring piercing strings and thundering belts, and despite its ornate delivery, feels completely genuine. When you’ve had enough of this summer’s minimal electronic haze, pour some wine and slip into this song like a warm bath. Jackman is one of several actors blessed to appear on this upcoming album, including Star Wars’ Rey and Captain Kirk.

Yann Tiersen Shares New Track: "Roc’h ar Vugale"

In a magical way that reflects his work, Yann Tiersen is an artist who seems to appear and reappear in your life when you’re least expecting. From the countless enchanting piano compositions he’s put forward over the past two decades, to his legendary film scores (most notably writing and performing 18 of 20 compositions for Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s film Amélie) his music has a remarkable way of making you stop to reflect on whatever it is you have been burying for too long.

Wants & Needs | Calvin Klein's Logo Underband Bralette

There isn’t enough nostalgia in the world to describe how important Calvin Klein logo Underband Bralettes were to the fashion industry in the 90s. Now, they’re back and you need to get one in every colour. They’re sporty. They’re soft. They’re comfortable. They’re great under a pair of overalls which are also back in style because fashion, like time, is a flat circle. Wear this bralette to work out. Wear it to dinner. Wear it to a show. Wear it with that new pair of overalls you just bought. Just wear it. You know you want to.
